The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Romania participates in the Arab Pavilion at the International Book Fair in Bucharest

The Embassy of the State of Qatar participated for the second consecutive year at the BOOKFEST – The  International Book Fair in its 12th edition which was held in the capital Bucharest for five days, from May 24 to 28, in the pavilion where participated in a number of Arab embassies.

 The representative of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy, ​​Sheikh Sultan Bin Jassem Al Thani, attended the opening ceremony of the pavilion in the presence of the Romanian Minister of Culture, Ionut Vulpescu, who praised the participation and the role played by the Arab embassies in the cultural scene in order to promote cultural exchange between the East and West.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar presented a collection of books to highlight the most important historical and national aspects of the past, present and future visions. The Qatari Corner in the pavilion also presented to the visitors the Arabic hospitality ofering them dates, Arabic coffee and the traditional sweets luqaimat (Crunchy Sweet Dumplings) in order to identify the cultural heritage of the country.
