Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from Foreign Minister of Romania

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call on Saturday from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Luminita Odobescu. During the call, they discussed the latest developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel, along with means of de-escalation. His Excellency expressed, during the call, the State of Qatar's steadfast position in condemning all forms of targeting civilians, adding that killing innocent civilians, especially women and children, and practicing the policy of collective punishment are unacceptable under any pretext. His Excellency stressed the State of Qatar's total rejection of the indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip and the attempts of eviction and forced displacement of its trapped people, warning of the danger of ground escalation of this war on the safety of civilians and hostages in Gaza. His Excellency underscored the significance of the continuation of the entry of relief convoys and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian brothers, who are trapped under bombardment. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs called for prompt action from the international community to respond to the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to reach a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip. His Excellency also stressed the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to halt the aggression on Gaza, along with serious action to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
